The Mission of the Urban Muslim Minority Alliance (UMMA) Center is to empower the lives of underprivileged individuals in Lake County by providing educational support and community resources. The UMMA Center believes that Lake County will be strengthened by the growth that education, hope and purpose bring to those seeking to enrich their lives with opportunities.
To eliminate poverty and empower the underserved residents of Lake County through education.
- Bridge the large SOCIO-ECONOMIC GAP in Lake County.
- Provide FREE Education, Basic Needs & Community Development Programs to empower the UNDERSERVED residents of Waukegan and North Chicago.
- Enable AT-RISK families to create a new script for their lives.

Waukegan, IL (January 27, 2009) - Today The Urban Muslim Minority AllianceCenter announced that Hira Siddiqui, a former Millennium Campaign Program Associate with the United Nations Development Program, will be joining the organization as Operations Manager.
