2023 Turkey Drive: A Community Success

UMMA proudly served 300 families in our community during the 2023 Thanksgiving season, ensuring each family received a full Thanksgiving meal, including a turkey and sides. Through partnerships and our own contributions, we were able to make this event a resounding success.

  • Partnering for Impact: In collaboration with the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), we distributed 150 Halal turkeys, ensuring that families observing dietary guidelines could enjoy a holiday meal with their loved ones.

  • UMMA’s Commitment: UMMA directly provided an additional 150 turkeys and side dishes, ensuring that every single family received a meal to celebrate Thanksgiving. Our contribution helped meet the needs of the entire community, making the holiday brighter for 300 families.

Through our Turkey Drive, UMMA demonstrated the power of community partnership and compassion, working together to support families and bring the spirit of Thanksgiving to all.
